Solve the clue above and you know you have the skills required to play 49er Treasure Trail, an interactive adventure of epic proportions, March 26^th and March 27^th, Saturday and Sunday. Navigate historic Amador County by conquering clues and completing challenges, which are all worth points. Come as your favorite detective, from Monsieur Poirot to Nancy Drew or come as yourself. Win prizes for the most points, unique costumes, most fun team, slowest to finish, traveled the furthest, and more. This event is great for all ages. Game hours are 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, March 26th and 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday, March 27th. Play the whole weekend, one day, or just a few hours. Participants receive a program with rules, clues to solve, list of Challenge Spots, a lanyard and ID. Solve a clue and receive ten points. Points can also be earned by completing a fun task at Challenge Spots. Prizes include hotel rooms, meals, merchandise, show tickets, and gift certificates from local merchants.

Registration is now open and costs $12.50 per person for a team of two; $10 per person for a team of three or more. Players are encouraged to form teams to play the game. Online registration is available at touramador.com.

New Year's Eve Blue Moon Bash in Plymouth

Usher in a new year of hope and possibility with an evening of celebration, great food, fine refreshments, and live music! The gates to the Amador County Fairgrounds open at 7 p.m., with dinner served until 9:30 p.m. Live musical performances by Speak Easy Jazz Orchestra, Funky Blue Devils, Late for Dinner, D.J. Gavin, and the winner of ACRA's Battle of the Bands, Meghan O'Keefe. This is a terrific opportunity to have a fabulous evening while supporting parks and recreation and local community groups. This event will be the place to be to celebrate the New Year! There are a limited number of tickets available, so get yours now! Ticket price includes entertainment, dinner, and shuttles to and from the event.

Tickets are $40 per person presale, or $75 per couple. After Dec. 10th the price increases to $50 per person. Ticket includes: dinner, all entertainment, goody bags, and shuttles to and from the event. Evening activities will take place rain or shine. Whiskey Dawn at the Amador County Fair Thursday, July 29

It's not to late to get discount tickets to see this great show. Whiskey Dawn is one of California’s hottest country bands. With the release of their first original album, Dear Nashville, Whiskey Dawn’s popularity has sky-rocketed to unimagined heights. Regularly featured on 101.9 the Wolf in Sacramento, Whiskey Dawn’s music has been heard on multiple country stations up and down the State of California. They’ve performed with several Nashville acts including Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Bucky Covington, Lady Antebellum, and more. Quickly becoming the favorite band at each new venue, Whiskey Dawn performed over 100 high-octane shows in 2009, captivating audiences with precision harmonies and dynamic instrumentation.

Though Whiskey Dawn is in just their third year of performing, the foundation for their success started over a decade ago. Troy, Jeremy, and Mike began singing and playing music together in high school. It only took them 10 years to realize how special it was to have three uniquely talented friends – and all with a passion for music. But, it wasn’t until joining forces with journeymen musicians Steve Mendiola, Dave Corina, and Steve Cortez that Whiskey Dawn was formed. As the backbone of Whiskey Dawn, Dave and “Los Dos Stevos,” combine to add immeasurable experience and talent to the lineup.
